1953 Corvette
(FILE, ORLANDO SENTINEL / April 17, 2004)The first 300 Chevrolet Corvettes were hand-built in Flint, Mich. Production began on June 30, 1953. All were polo white with a sportsman red vinyl interior, a 150-HP "Blue Flame Six" 6-cylinder engine and Powerglide automatic transmission.
