Dining Finds: Tuscan Cafe, Sunrise
The menu includes three soups ($3.50) prepared by Huseyin Feroglu,
who hails from Turkey. His specialties are lentil, vegetable and a
not-too-acidic lemon chicken rice that is so packed with chunks of
white meat chicken it's almost a meal in itself.
You can have the soup heated, but it only takes three minutes in
the microwave at home. I like to pair my soup with the Palermo
Roasted Turkey sandwich ($6.99). It comes on an 8-inch-long hoagie
roll that is lightly heated so it takes on a delicate crispness
before being smeared with mild pesto. Thin-sliced turkey breast
goes on next, followed by fresh mozzarella, roasted red pepper
strips and thick-sliced cucumbers for crunch.
