Flame of Jamaica good match for gardens - December 5, 2008 - Euphorbia punicea is closely related to poinsettia, but the bright red bracts and yellow blooms are slightly smaller. It makes a colorful, drought-tolerant addition to any garden.

Will 'Life on Mars' survive? - November 30, 2008 - I am strictly a reality-TV viewer. But a few weeks ago the commercial for the first episode of Life on Mars caught my eye, and since watching it I have been hooked. Harvey Keitel, Michael Imperioli and Jason O'Mara are outstanding. Although the overall story line is a little outlandish, the weekly plots, satire and the nostalgic filming are superb. I have not seen any reviews, appearances by cast members on talk shows or any major hype about the show. Do you think the show will last past its first season? What can we do as viewers to ensure there is a second season? — R.B., Miramar
