Palm Beach County School Board names leaders as new members sworn in
Bill Graham is ready to tackle a third straight year as chairman of the Palm Beach County School Board. Fellow longtime board member Sandra Richmond will serve as vice chairwoman, rotating into the role held by Paulette Burdick for the past 12 months.
The board selected its leaders Tuesday, while also welcoming the newest member, Frank Barbieri.
A longtime civic leader west of Boca Raton, Barbieri defeated Mark Hansen in an election this month for a four-year term. Barbieri was sworn into office by Circuit Judge Robin Rosenberg.
Rosenberg also administered the oath of office to Monroe Benaim, Carrie Hill and Burdick, who also won elections for new board terms.
